Participant Responsibility Notice
New Mexico 4-Wheelers guests and members will be meeting for a group activity as indicated below. Drivers are responsible for the safe operation of their own vehicles and should evaluate obstacles based on their own comfort and experience level and vehicle capability.
This is a volunteer recreational activity. Participants are responsible for their own safety, vehicle operation, and compliance with land-use rules.
We will explore secondary roads, drop into arroyos, check out views and unusual rock formations. There will be play areas and rocky low range trails.
We will air down at Roadrunner Travel Center. Gas up there. Drivers meeting 8:45 am , LEAVE at 9 AM!!!
Low range , recovery points front and back of your vehicle. Good off road tires, air compressor, skid plates and sliders recommended. Recovery straps, spare tire in good condition. I have seen flat tires at Gordy's , from sharp rocks.
Bring food and drinks, chairs for lunch.
Dress for weather. It is winter, so probably cold. If highways are icy or snow covered, this ride will be canceled.
1 1/2 to 2 hour drive from Albuquerque area.
Pin striping is possible.
We will finish back at the truck stop, before sun down, if possible. Will try to be at truck stop by 4:30 pm.
Stock 4x4's can do this route, but in some areas, we may need to spot each other, to make sure the correct line is followed.
